How billing works
Need VAS, GCMS or USSD pricing? Those are agreed per product — talk to our team.
What is an SMS page?
One page holds 160 standard (GSM-7) characters. Longer messages are split into pages of 153 characters each. Emoji and some special characters — including the ₦ sign — switch the message to Unicode, where a page holds 70 characters (67 when split). Write NGN instead of ₦ to keep costs down.
Is VAT included?
No. Prices exclude VAT. VAT at 7.5% is added when you top up and shown on your receipt.
Which messages are refunded?
Messages stopped before a network accepts them — for example an invalid number, a promotional message to a DND number, an unapproved sender ID or a network rejection — are refunded to your wallet automatically. Messages a network accepts but cannot deliver (for example a phone that stays switched off) are charged, because the network charges us for them.
Why do transactional and OTP messages cost more?
They travel on priority transactional routes that reach numbers on DND and are delivered in seconds. Promotional messages use standard routes that respect DND and the 08:00–20:00 WAT sending window.
How do I pay?
Top up a prepaid wallet by bank transfer to your dedicated virtual account or by card, from ₦10,000. You can switch on auto top-up and low-balance alerts so OTP traffic never stops.
Which plan am I on?
Your rate follows your monthly volume. Start on Starter; when you send more than 100,000 pages a month we move you to Business rates, and above 1 million pages we agree Enterprise rates in your contract.
Do you offer government or public-sector rates?
Yes. Ministries, departments, agencies and state governments get preferential rates. Talk to our team for a quote.
